Police Blotter: Laptop Stolen in Break-In on Sibley

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 24-year-old man reported to police that while he was at work someone broke into his house and stole his laptop between the hours of 5:30 a.m. and 2:17 p.m. in the 350 block of Sibley Road.

The man said the person(s) entered his house by breaking the double-paned tempered glass window in his back door with an unknown blunt object.

Police said there was glass on the inside and outside of the house, with glass scattered throughout the kitchen, dining room and living room.

The man told police a Playstation 3, three video games and about $20 in change were also missing.

The man said the Alienware laptop personal computer was valued at about $1500 and the other items were valued at about $470.

Police said a safe in the house was also tamped with, but had not been opened.
