Police matched the man's last name to the last name of the owner of the vehicle and found them to be the same. It was also discovered that he lived in Allen Park, not Wyandotte as he told police.

When police asked him what he was doing at the hospital, he said he "had heard it was haunted and he was looking for ghosts," according to a Trenton police report.

Police arrested the man for trespassing and transported him to the Trenton Police Department. He was then issued a citation and released on personal recognizance bond.

Though the man initially told police he was alone, he later told them he was with another male and gave police that man's name.

@wendy: Have you ever seen anything unexplainable at the former hospital?
Dave (Bear) Huggins August 28, 2012 at 03:54 PM
I have, To me it is unexplainable and unacceptable that someone would let a beautiful piece of property sit and rot like they have. I guess that's one more person that has more money than brains. Outrageous !!!

yep Dave your right, "it is unexplainable and unacceptable that someone would let a beautiful piece of property sit and rot". nothing in or around that hospital is haunted, except a bunch of drug addicts or drunks seeing things that are not there.

No, sorry Nate! The only thing unexplainable is the people who try to go in there! Some of them have been pretty scary!

The sooner this derelict building gets torn down or rehabbed, the better! Both of our kids were born at Riverside and it's very sad to see the old hospital in the condition it's in now.
