Items Stolen Out of Elizabeth Park Concession Stand in Trenton

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

An employee of the Wayne County Parks System reported to Trenton police someone stole cooking equipment out of the concession stand at Elizabeth Park at about 10:40 a.m. Jan. 19.

The employee said she went to check on the concession stand and noticed several pieces of cooking equipment missing, according to a Trenton police report.

Police said there were no pry marks or signs of breakage to the windows or doors of the building. The employee told police she believes the person(s) who stole the equipment might have had a key to the building.

Trenton police notified the Wayne County Sheriff's Office of the incident who said they would not respond to take the report, according to the same report.

The items stolen were valued at about $1,000.

The concession stand is currently closed for the winter season.
