A Grosse Ile employee remains in critical condition after being buried alive while attempting to fix a broken water main Thursday near Meridian Road.
Grosse Ile Police Chief Joseph Porcerelli said the 56-year-old department of public works employee was still unconcious Friday morning.
The man, a lifelong resident of Grosse Ile, was air lifted to Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit after being resuscitated by Grosse Ile and Trenton emergency personnel.
