The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Trenton police responded to a hit and run accident at about 4:20 p.m. Dec. 26 at the corner fo Fort Street and Van Horn.

A woman told police she was southbound on Fort Street and stopped at a red light, when a white, full-size van driven by a white female swiped the passenger side of her car.

The driver of the van was described as a white female in her late 20s with brunette hair, according to a Trenton police report.

The driver of the van told the woman her brakes went out and the two decided to pull into a nearby parking lot, but as the woman pulled into the parking lot the woman driving the van fled south on Fort Street, according to the same report.

The woman told police the woman's van should have a burgundy paint stripe on the driver's side of the vehicle from the side swipe.

Trenton and Brownstown police were unable to locate the white van or the woman driver.
