Burglar Enters Trenton Woman's House, Steals 2 Purses While She Sleeps

Trenton police responded to a call from a 23-year-old woman who said someone had entered her house as she slept and stole her and another woman's purse at about 3 p.m. March 12 in the 300 block of Detroit Street.

The woman told police she arrived home at 2 a.m. and left her purse and a 22-year-old woman's purse on the kitchen table before going to sleep in the basement.

The 23-year-old woman said she awoke at about noon and moved to the couch in the ground floor living room. At about 2 p.m. she she saw a white male walk down the driveway as if he came in from the back yard area, according to a Trenton police report.

The woman said one of the purses was found on the kitchen table and the other was found in the front lawn.

Both woman claimed the purses were missing several items including $820 cash and a social security card.
