7 Dead Geese Found in Refuse Bin in Trenton

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Trenton police responded to a call about seven dead geese found in a refuse bin behind UAW Local 372, 4571 Division, at about 1:15 p.m. Oct. 26.

A representative of the UAW Local 372 told police he went to throw garbage away in "his Dumpster" and found dead geese inside at about 12:30 the same day, according to a Trenton police report.

An animal control officer removed four of the seven geese and conducted a brief examination. The officer found only the breast meat was removed, but was unable to determine the cause of death.

A sad and criminal act. Please share this with your fb friends and ask them to contact the Trenton Police Dept with any info they may have. So sad. And so sick.

I do not understand what’s wrong? Seven geese were harvested, cleaned for the meat for the hunter’s family and the carcass was disposed of in a proper manor. Should the person that did this just have thrown them on the side of the road? Tossed them out in the lake for the gulls to eat? I’m not sure where a story is here. So the question then remains? What should be done with the body…

I live on Lake Burton in North Ga and have tried everything. The only thing that worked at keeping the geese off my property was a product made by Edgewater Fencing. It was very inexpensive, humane and super easy to install. The people were also great to deal with and we got rid of our nuisance geese!! Their website is http://www.edgewaterfencing.com
