Police said a heated argument began between a 31-year-old man and a 63-year-old man in a nearby parking lot. During the argument, the younger man, "put his hands out to put space between them" when the older man pulled out a pistol from his waistband behind his back and pointed it him, according to a Trenton police report.

At that moment, a 50-year-old man entered the argument and also pointed a pistol retrieved from his waistband. A witness told police the man racked the slide of the pistol and pointed it at the younger man.

The three men continued to exchange words for a short time and were joined by a 28-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man. The woman attempted to break up the fight, but was pushed out of the way.

The 30-year-old man walked over to the area and one of the men pointed a gun at him, as well.

The men with pistols left the scene before police arrived. No arrests were made.

I guess that's something we should start to expect now that anyone can run around with a loaded weapon any time they want to. Thanks a lot, gun lobbyists.

It sounds to me like you have never been in a life or death situation where a firearm would make all the difference, Sharon. I have. I was robbed in Detroit, and though I gave the jerk everything he wanted, he still opened fire on me as he was leaving. Lucky he was a bad shot, and I managed to escape. I now carry, and if robbed, I will still give up my valuables. But if I feel my life is in danger, I will defend myself. Try going through a situation like this sometime. It's not fun! Also note that both men had a firearm, and to me, just the threat both men showed the other brought about a peaceful solution. It may have turned ugly had only one fellow had a pistol. Remember, when seconds count, the police are just minutes away. Think about it!

Please don't presume to know anything about what I have or have not experienced. I will NEVER think it was a good thing that two men drew loaded weapons in the situation as described above. Innocent people could easily have been shot in the crossfire.

Please stop complaining about gun rights with such ignorance. Michigan has been a concealed carry state for quite some time now, the lobbyist didn't just "sneak this one in". Also you demonstrate lack of understanding of the type of people that use their firearms in situations like this couldn't care less whether open or concealed carry is legal or not - they're likely to do it regardless.

Protect your rights, and your country... Buy a gun!! Learn to use it safely, and defend yourself. You still have that 2nd amendment right. And this is still America. Alot of you may not like these views, but they are facts. So, if you don't like my America, stop trying to change the greatest country ever, and... MOVE TO FRANCE !!!

Sharon, before you go making an ignorant comment such as yours please be sure you know the facts. The media shares only what they want, fact is, you cannot make an assessment on this situation with what you read. The young man may have or may not have threatened the older individual or the older man may have felt threatened and felt the need to protect himself. Fact is, you anti gun lobbyists need to take the time and become knowledgeable of the countries that have gun control laws and compare the crimes to ours. It will blow you away! Take away my right to protect my Wife and Daughter, how dare you. You can be a victim, I choose not to be and I will fight you and your following till I'm financially broke or dead.

People will carry loaded guns leagal or not if you are in a bad situation you don't know what you would do so don't tell me i don't need a weapon to defend myself.

There will always be irresponsible gun owners, thankfully they are few and far between. Glad it ended before somebody pulled a trigger.

Since sharon knows what is best for the public, instead of talking about you should not have the right to protect yourself or family members she needs to ride in patrol cars and see first hand how dangerously it can get.
