10 People Allegedly Walked Out on $460 Bill at Trenton Restaurant

The following information was supplied by the Trenton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Trenton police responded to a theft complaint around 8 p.m. July 14 at where 10 people allegedly walked out on a $460 bill.

After consuming several drinks and a number of appetizers, the guests left the restaurant without paying, according to a Trenton police report.

Witnesses said the guests told their server they were unhappy with their service and walked out just as their main course was about to be served.

Police said two witnesses stated the server did everything possible to make the guests happy, but they still left.

A manager of the restaurant was able to get the license plate from the vehicle the guests were driving and police were able to use the information to identify the person to which the plate was registered.

Police also have a phone number someone used to make a reservation at the restaurant for the guests.

The problem is, these Jerks probably think it's funny, and this is probably not their first time doing this. If they are indeed tracked down, their names should be posted at ALL restaurants in the area to be on the lookout for these people. This is serious, folks! I only hope they don't live in the Downriver area, as we don't need people like this living in this area.

This is how these people who have no money and who have no business in any restaurant, let alone a nice one, get the free meals that they think they are entitled to. Easier for a group of scumbags to walk out on the bill than to get their bridge cards refused.

Find them. Arrest them. Convict them. Fine them HEAVILY. Do not waste societies resources incarcerating them. This is ALL about the MONEY. So make them pay. Not US!! And publicise this big-time.

Even if you are not happy with the food or service you don't get the option to just walk out. The manager could have compensated them. We were unhappy with our service once at an Applebees (we didn't even really complain) and the manager refunded the meals and we had to pay for the drinks. It was above and beyond nice. What those people did was wrong. If you were not happy pay for what you had and leave it at that. Othewise you are stealing. If you are not happy you just never go back there again or give a bad review to the place. You can express your views just not steal.

Fratellos is one of the finest places to dine in the entire Downriver area,I find it hard to believe the food and service was bad enough to get up and walk out. This was an act of theft plain and simple, these people should all pay the price for their actions!

Hey Jim, have you ever really eaten there? If so, you would not be calling it the "finest place!" Food is terrible, service is terrible. I don't agree with what those people did, but if they were treated how I was, I can understand. I will never eat there again!
