I am gluten-free. I have had allergic reactions for the past few years that I couldn't get rid of and couldn't find a trigger for. Over the past year my step-mom and step-sister have both been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. That got me thinking....maybe it's a food trigger and not environmental? So, I started keeping a food log. Low and behold....I found a connection.
Wheat and other gluten containing products are a problem for me. It's not as severe as Celiac Disease but I definitely have a gluten-sensitivity. So, I'm gluten-free, and I couldn't be happier! The changes I've experienced have been great and I have never felt better.
This blog I dedicate to delicious, healthy family meals that I ACTUALLY make for myself, my two children (daughter and son, 3 years and 1 year) and my husband. I'm honest about how my kids react (and my husband too) and I definitely have disasters. There is so much out there that makes for amazing meals that taste great and are still healthy for you!
I will also have calorie counts for each meal for those of you that do count your calories. However, I am not a nutritionist and my counts are estimations, though I consider them to be fairly accurate. Please do not enter into a calorie-restricted diet, or any diet for that matter, without talking to your doctor first.
