Bacon and Cheddar STUFFED Burgers

Change up that ordinary burger by stuffing it full of your favorite toppings.

Burgers and hot dogs are the most commonly grilled items for bbq parties and family get togethers. Memorial weekend is no exception. Here's a great way to change things up a little so YOUR burgers stand out from the rest.

Patty Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 lb. ground turkey
2 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp. garlic powder
salt & pepper
1 egg

Mix all the ingredients together with your hands. Be careful not to over mix it or you'll end up with mushy patties that will fall apart on the grill. Gently form into 8 equal size balls.

Stuffing Ingredients:
1 package bacon, cooked til crispy (not burnt), chopped
1 bag of your favorite shredded cheese (sharp cheddar always goes well with bacon)

Take one meat ball and gently press into a bowl shape in your hand. Fill the hole with bacon and cheese. Gently fold the edges together and flatten into a patty shape. Repeat with each ball until you have formed all 8 stuffed patties.

Preheat your grill to medium-high. Place the patties on the grill and turn the heat down to medium. When the patty is easy to lift up (the meat doesn't stick in patches when you try to flip it with the spatula) flip over and put more shredded cheese on top. Close the grill and allow the patties to cook through and the cheese to melt.

Don't forget to toast your buns on the grill too! This doesn't take long, just a minute or two and they'll have a great toasted color. Be careful not to burn them.

Top with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
