Attention paparazzi!

Trenton's most outstanding residents will be walking the red carpet at the this year for the annual Trenton City Awards ceremony put on by the Trenton Civic Commission.

The ceremony recognizes residents who've been nominated by friends and family in a number of categories including Trentonite of the Year and Outstanding Trenton Youth.

The two-hour ceremony is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Jan. 19, 2013, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m.

Guests can graze on Hors d'oeuvre while enjoying beer and wine.

Ticket prices have not been set.

Scott Bar of the Trenton Civic Commission said the reason for the change of venue was to reduce ticket prices. Tickets to previous City Awards Ceremonies were as much as $40.

Barr said ticket prices would be much less this year than previous years.

Look for information on ticket prices and nominating a Trenton resident for a City Award coming soon to Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch.
