Since October, online fundraiser GoFundMe.com has brought in nearly $1,900 to help Darren Player in his fight against a rare form of lymphoma.
Lymphoma is a form of blood cancer that originates in the cells of the immune system.
Funds are being raised to help support the family's short-term needs, while Darren is being treated at University of Michigan.
“In addition to the burden of medical bills, out-of-work time and hospital stays pose a challenge financially. If you are able to help out and would like to, please consider making a donation -- no amount is too small, and any support would be greatly appreciated!” wrote Maddelyn High, a Trenton cousin of the family who created the online fundraiser.

Darren and his wife, Hillary, are expecting a new addition to their family in January.
The campaign hopes to raise $5,000.
