Stuff You Need to Know: Sept. 16

Here are a few things to help you get your day started right.

Good morning Trenton. Here's a rundown of what you need to know today.

  1. Today will be a lot like yesterday, as far as the weather goes. The National Weather Service is calling for a partly sunny day with a high near 62 degrees and winds between 5 and 8 mph.
  2. In recognition of Trenton's rich hockey traditions, we bring you the Hockey Term of the Day: goal cage,  a 6-foot wide by 4-foot high tubular steel frame consisting of a cross bar and two goalposts to which a net is attached. Terms brought to you by www.firstbasesports.com.
  3. The varsity football team get to try to redeem themselves after a crushing loss last week at Wyandotte. Tonight's game is at home against the Taylor Kennedy Eagles at 7 p.m. Don't forget about the that will immediately follow the game.
  4. Prepare to go back in time this weekend and enjoy some amazing cuisine at the Somewhere In Time and Taste of Trenton and Beyond festivals on Sunday. Both festivals are at Elizabeth Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Click here to find out more about these exciting events.
  5. The Trenton High School boys varsity soccer team had a big win last night against the Allen Park Jags.
