We have a rundown on things to know today.

  1. Apparently my grass hasn't had enough rain to literally double in length in the last two days, so there is more rain on the way today to make up for any inefficiencies in recent growth. The National Weather Service is calling for a chance of showers and thunderstorms beginning as early as 8 a.m. and a high near 73 degrees. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent. Tonight there is a 50 percent chance of scattered showers with a low around 59 degrees.
  2. In recognition of Trenton's rich hockey traditions, we bring you the Hockey Term of the Day: carom, a rebound of the puck off the boards or any other object. Terms are brought to you by www.firstbasesports.com.
  3. Today is the start of the and the at the Trenton Cultural Center, 2427 West Road. Entertainment will be provided by the Mister Laurence Experience featuring the Play Money Band at 3:30 p.m. and Take 2 at 7 p.m. Both events are free.

  5. Today is the last day the Trenton High School office will be open. The office will be open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a lunch break from noon to 1 p.m. The office will then be closed for the summer.
