You need to know this stuff.

  1. Don't put your umbrella in the closet just yet. The National Weather Service is calling for a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms with a high near 83 degrees and gusts as high as 21 mph today. The rain is likely to continue overnight with a low around 65 degrees. There is a 30 percent chance of precipitation overnight.
  2. In recognition of Trenton's rich hockey traditions, we bring you the Hockey Term of the Day: Campbell Conference, was one of the two conferences in the National Hockey League that contained the Norris and Smythe Divisions until 1992-93; renamed the Western Conference in 1993.
  3. The Summer Concert Series kicks off tomorrow at the . The first act geared toward kids is the Mister Laurence Experience featuring the Play Money Band begins at 3:30 p.m. Admission and lemonade is free.
  4. Tomorrow also marks the beginning of the at the Trenton Cultural Center. A blues/rock band called Take 2 kicks off the concert series. The cultural center will be transformed into an outdoor coffee house. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is free.
  5. Residents with pets should know that the 2011-12 Dog and Cat Licenses will expire on June 30, 2011. New tags are now on sale at Trenton City Hall in the Clerk's Office. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. According to the Trenton City Clerk, Kyle Stack, any person who owns, possesses or harbors a dog or cat in the Trenton must license this dog or cat under provisions of Sec. 6-22 and 6-50 of the city. License fees are $10.
