Good morning Trenton. Here's a rundown of what you need to know today.

  1. Welcome fans. The weather for the races could turn wet. There is a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms today. Otherwise the day is likely to be partly sunny with a high near 90 degrees.

In recognition of Trenton's rich hockey traditions, we bring you the Hockey Term of the Day: defensemen, two players who make up a team’s defensive unit usually stationed in or near their defensive zone to help the goalie guard against attack; sometimes they lead an attack.
