About 90 percent of people currently on medicare have a gap in coverage and purchase supplemental insurance to close the coverage gap, according to Greg Scheppler, group sales manager for the Blue Care Network.
The open enrollment deadline to select a Medicare plan is Friday, Dec. 7.
"People need to decide if they are looking to go to a medicare advantage plan or change a current plan," Scheppler said. "They won't extend this deadline."
There is one seminar in Trenton:

At the seminars, Trenton and Grosse Ile residents can expect fact finding, a question and answer session, and information on benefits.
