Great Escape: Take a Break from Winter
The weather outside may be unsavory, but inside Cobo Hall the temperature is a balmy 72 degrees, and the Detroit Boat Show attendees are ready to set sail.
Each week, we’ll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier.
Today's Escape is an opportunity to put the snow- and slush-covered madness aside and think about the blue waters of the mighty Great Lakes at the at Cobo Hall. This is the last weekend to break the snowy cycle and enjoy the sights and sounds of summer. The boat show begins at 11 a.m. and closes at 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 6 p.m. on Sunday. The $12 entrance fee is a small price to pay to enjoy a live shark encounter and the Time Bandit race boat.
