Great Escape: Help Your Community With the Electronics and Tire Collection

Do your part for the environment by recycling this Saturday.

This week's Great Escape is not exactly a relaxing activity, but it is a great way to help the environment while recycling items people usually just throw away.

Sometimes the satisfaction of doing something good for the environment can be just as effective as a day at the spa.

There will be an electronics and tire recycling event held at April 30 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The City of Trenton, along with Vintage Tech Recyclers and Wayne County Land Resources, are sponsoring the event.

Items will be accepted from Downriver residents, schools, and small businesses, including televisions, computers, laptops, printers, VCRs, microwaves, and scrap tires (limit 7).
