Discover a Cache in Your Town

Michigan communities have treasure galore.

Michigan Patch communities, like nearly every community in the
country, are treasure troves of geocaches. You just have to know where
to look.

For instance, on the geocaching website (geocaching.com), more than
200 caches are listed within a five-mile radius of Wyandotte ZIP code
48192 and Trenton ZIP code 48183. Search Dearborn’s six ZIP codes and
you’ll find thousands in close range. And if you’re not a geocacher,
you would never knew these cleverly hidden surprises are even there.

They’re in parks, cemeteries, church yards, school yards, historic
sites and just about everywhere else outdoors. The caches recommended
for beginners are marked as such, too.

Whole families often make a day’s adventure of finding caches, and
many searchers bring their dogs along.

You’ll find geocaches – if you know where to look – in Elizabeth Park
in Trenton, Bishop Park in Wyandotte, on the Henry Ford Community
College campus in Dearborn and along Hines Drive.

And in 1.5 million other places across the globe.

Happy hunting.
