5 Things to Know Today: June 13

A handful of things to get you going in Trenton today.

Here are five things you need to know to start your day.

  1. Today looks perfect. According to the National Weather Service today will be partly sunny with a high near 74 degrees. Winds could blow up to 20 mph. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a low of around 54 degrees.
  2. In recognition of Trenton's rich hockey traditions, we bring you the Hockey Term of the Day: boards or board wall, a wooden or fiberglass wall 3 1/2 to 4 feet high which surrounds the rink to keep the puck and players from accidentally leaving the rink and injuring spectators; all rinks have shatterproof glass that rises above the boards to provide additional protection.   3. Another big round of applause for the seniors who on Friday. Patch wished you all the very best of luck in your future endeavours. Keep us posted on your successes.
  4. There is a meeting tonight beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education Building.
