What Should Fill the Vacant Building Near Trenton High School?

Many Trenton High School students walk past a vacant building on West Road each school day. What would you like to see fill the space at 2861 West Road?

A vacant building sits a short distance from Trenton High School after Rehab Connection Inc., 2861 West Road, closed down. Hundreds of students pass by the empty building each week.

The exterior of the building appears to be in relatively good shape. There are far worse Downriver eyesores than the former rehabilitation center, but Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch wants to know what you'd like to see fill the empty space?

The possibilities are seemingly endless, but the building's close proximity to Trenton High School lends to its potential:

  • Perhaps the building could be turned into a sandwich shop for students to eat lunch?
  • Perhaps a security company that specializes in school security moves in and is hired by the district?
  • Perhaps the building becomes a boutique grocery store where locals can purchase hard to find items?

What would you like to see move into the former Rehab Connection Inc. building located steps from Trenton High School?
