Head instructor and owner Vito Angileri, 43, shows you how to defend yourself against a punch thrown by karate student Javier VanBattenburg, 19, at PKSA Karate headquarters in Trenton.

PKSA instructors are set to hold a women's self-defense class at 11 a.m. March 16 at Custom Fit Training, 8545 Macomb, on Grosse Ile.

Learn how to avoid dangerous situations and protect yourself from attackers during the one-hour class.

The class costs $9 and women ages 13 and up are welcome to attend the event.
