Marcissuk said that he expects the restaurant's grand opening to take place on New Year's Day.

Marcissuk said that his company has plans to incorporate great food, a unique environment and entertainment to make Legends a hot spot for local dining. He also said the restaurant will plan to bring in athletes from time to time to attract more visitors and visibility.

"It'll be a nice place for parents to drop off kids for practice and then go upstairs and grab a burger or something to drink," Cady said.

The renovation project, which will include windows so guests can watch the action on the ice from the restaurant, will be something that Cady said could open the door to more expansion and business opportunities.

"It would be nice to eventually be able to host banquets and events like that," Cady said.
