Ramsey's Coney Island Owner Looking to Expand

Jonus Rexhepi, owner of Ramsey's Coney Island, hopes to purchase city-owned property to expand his business.

The owner of Ramsey's Coney Island requested to purchase city-owned property to expand his business Monday at the regularly scheduled Trenton City Council meeting.

Jonus Rexhepi requested purchasing a vacant lot to the south of his property at 2747 W. Jefferson Ave. in Downtown Trenton.

Rexhepi said he would use the property to expand the size of his restaurant to accommodate more customers.

Ramsey's Coney island has operated in Trenton for over 20 years.

"I just need some help from city hall to help me to extend my business because I'm, kind of, struggling," Rexhepi said.

Council members requested the Downtown Development Authority and city administration look into the potential sale.

The property has been vacant for about 10 years.
