Grosse Ile Residents Move Business to Downtown Trenton

TCI International is an engineering based company established in 1994 in Wyandotte as a trade, consultancy and marketing company, according to the TCI International website.

A new business is coming to Downtown Trenton to fill the empty space next to Sage Studios.

Grosse Ile residents and business partners Sam Sobh and Rania Swidan are moving their business, TCI International, from their large warehouse in Wyandotte to the smaller location on West Jefferson.

Construction is currently underway to modify the space near 2719 W. Jefferson Ave. The two partners purchased the entire building and now lease the space next door to Sage Studios.

Sobh said the company provides fire and safety equipment and specializes in fire safety education to businesses and organizations around the world including Louisiana State University and Wayne County Community College District.

He added 95 percent of his business is directed overseas.

"We are the soul representative for whole middle east and parts of Africa," Sobh said.
