Eat at Mr. Nick's, Fund Special Needs Program

Mr. Nick's is dedicating 35 percent of Thursday's sales to the Trenton special needs program.

For one day only, eating at could help provide a summer's worth of activities for several children with special needs.

The has teamed up with Mr. Nick's to raise money for SNAP, or Special Needs Activities Program.

Patrons are asked to tell their server they are dining in order to help children with special needs and Mr. Nick's will donate 35 percent of sales to SNAP.

Diners can donate by ordering lunch or dinner from 11 to 2 a.m. on Thursday, May 5.

SNAP is six weeks long and available to 29 young people with cognitive impairment. The program is open to 10- to 25-year-olds.

Each weekday of the program is filled with field trips to the Kennedy Aquatic Center, bowling, miniature golf and tennis.

The program begins June 28 and ends Aug. 6, and it runs from 8:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

Registration begins for Trenton residents May 16, for returning students May 17 and for nonresidents May 18-20.
