Have You Seen the Grosse Ile North Channel Light?

Grosse Ile North Channel Light tours begin at 11 a.m. on Sept. 8.

History and nautical enthusiasts alike will have a chance to see the Grosse Ile North Channel Light first hand beginning Sept. 8.

Tours will take guests along the Detroit River aboard the Diamond Queen, leaving from Bishop Park in Wyandotte, and passing the lighthouse and heading back to the park, but not before a spin around the lighthouse.

Tours are set for 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. and include a barbecue dinner. Tickets are $45.

For the walking tour tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for children under 17. No one under six is permitted in the lighthouse. Walking tours leave from the Grosse Ile Depot Museum, 25020 East River Road.

Contact Tammy Taylor at info@gihistory.org or call 734-675-7294 for tickets or for more information.
