Trenton Cultural Center Hosts Country Christmas: Weekend Wonderland

Every Saturday and Sunday in December you're invited to enjoy the 38th annual Country Christmas Weekend Wonderlands at the Trenton Cultural Center. The turn-of-the-century grounds will be transformed into a magical holiday setting.

Plenty will go on during these weekends, including:

  • The Emily Frank Farmhouse, open noon-7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays (except Dec. 4, when it's open noon-4 p.m.) and enjoy a tour of this historic home that's been transformed into a Christmas wonderland filled with 25 trees, and Santa will visit often.
  • The 5th Annual Fire and Ice Carving Spectacular, thanks to the Trenton Firefighters Charities and other local businesses, the Henry Ford Ice Carving Club will be in attendance from 1-7 p.m. Dec. 17 to create holiday masterpieces out of ice.
  • On Dec. 18, Whispering Pines Animal Kingdom will be on site from 1-4 p.m. during the “All Creatures Great and Small” event, sponsored by DTE Energy, where you can check out exotic animals at its petting zoo.
  • Also, pay a stop to the Trenton General Store located inside the barn where a handmade crafts and goods are for sale. The store will be open Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon–6 p.m.; Thursdays, 3–9 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from noon–7:30 p.m. through Dec. 23.
