Who: Public is invited to attend the admission free 4 day show and sale of quality
Art work and crafts.
What: Fall Festival of the Arts is sponsored by 4 Local Art Groups: Downriver Arts &
Crafts Guild, Art Ambience, Acanthus Art Society, and Downriver Council
for the Arts. There are over 60 participating artists with more than 90 fine art
entries and over 300 craft items on display.
The Fall Festival of the Arts offers an opportunity to enjoy affordable original
art created by local artists and an array of varied handmade crafts perfect
for Holiday gifts: purses, painted miniatures, Christmas decorations, painted
wine glasses, fused glass jewelry, painted wine boxes, ceramics, cards,
decorated acrylic photo frames and beaded and silver jewelry.
When: Opening Reception: Thursday November 3, 6PM – 9PM
Wine & hors d’oeurvre reception with gift baskets as door prizes. Also
a special silent auction of a giclee of a painting and her book by well-known
artist Chris Unwin to benefit the Downriver Arts & Crafts Guild
scholarship fund. The scholarship is offered to a graduating senior pursuing a
degree in the visiual arts. Chris is an internationally known and recognized
artist with accomplishments and awards in painting and sculpture. She also
