Can Your Dog Swim? Find Out at the Trenton Aquatic Center

The Trenton Aquatic Center is going to the dogs this Saturday.

The Trenton Aquatic Center is going to the dogs this Saturday. 

More than 200 dogs are expected to doggie paddle their way around public pool on the one day each year the rules no longer apply to them.

From noon to 3 p.m. Saturday the doors of the Aquatic Center will open to all members of the canine species.

Be sure to participate in fun games and contests like the best swimsuit, people pet look alike, fetch and jump the farthest—to name a few.

The fee for the swim is $5 per dog, and owners are free with their pet. A $5 fee will also be charged for spectators without a pet.  

Each dog must have a handler. On sight registration will begin at 11 a.m.

Participants can pre-register at the Trenton Recreation Department at Trenton City Hall.

Event sponsors include Gibraltar Veterinary Hospital and Village Animal Healthcare.
