Trenton's Mid-Summer Festival runs Friday-Sunday, and the lineup is jam packed with fun events for the family. Here are five great family-friendly activities.

  1. Catch a show: Ventriloquist and puppeteer Richard Paul performs his Ventriloquist Family Fun Variety Show from 10 a.m.-noon on Friday.
  2. Be crafty and creative: The Children’s Playmarket runs through the weekend offering arts and crafts made with recycled products.
  3. Get them moving: Check out the Diaper Derby and Toddler Trot at noon Saturday near the clock tower for crawlers through age 4.
  4. Feed them for free: Children 5 and under eat free at the all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner during the festival at the , from 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert. Those older than 5 are $6.50 per person.
  5. Become a junior firefighter: Kids can drop by the during the festival, where firefighters will let them try spraying a real fire hose.
