Weekend Events: Community Expo, Taste of Trenton and “Somewhere In Time” Festival

Why Go: Watching the movie Rio on the outdoor big screen is a wonderful way to spend an almost-fall evening with the family.

Where/When: Woodhaven Community Center, 23101 Hall Road, Woodhaven; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday

Why Go: To learn more about businesses snd community organizations that contribute to the Downriver community. Children can come and participate in special activities including a puppet show.

Where/When: ; 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: The opportunity to partake in lots of free activities like: old time entertainment and games, arts & crafts, bake sale, antique and classic car show, boat cruise, children's area and more.

Where/When: ; 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: To feast on the culinary creations of local restaurants alongside the beautiful backdrop of the Detreoit River.

Pricing: Free entry; tickets must be purchased to sample food

Where/When: ; 4 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: The unique experience of watching a night of comedy that is appropriate for children of all ages with family and friends. Reserve your free tickets today!

We have gone to Taste of Trenton the last couple years. Its fun and you can try lots of good food from places downriver. You have to buy tickets though. Its just free to get in.

That is a great point, Lindsey. It should definitely say that it is free to get in but food samples require tickets. Don't want anyone to show up disappointed. The post has been updated.
