Viewfinder: Jamboree On Ice

Ballroom Blitz at the Kennedy Recreation Center features skaters of all ages performing to some toe-tapping tunes.

The annual will be held this weekend at the Kennedy Recreation Center. 

The show has a different theme each year. This year it is Ballroom Blitz, which is definitely a crowd-pleaser.

The show, which is around 2 hours long with a 15-minute intermission, features many popular tunes.

The show is directed by Stephanie Galuszka. She has been the figure-skating director in Trenton for 10 years and also performs in a few routines in the show. 

There are more than 100 skaters in the show. Numerous people work to put the show together—parks and recreation, ice show staff, coaches, parent volunteers and skaters.

The remaining shows will be held Saturday, April 2 at 1:30 and 7:30 p.m.

The prices are:

  • Children 12 and under in advance, $2
  • Children 12 and under at the door, $3
  • Adults in advance, $4
  • Adults at the door, $5

Tickets are on sale at Trenton Recreation Office at Trenton City Hall or at Kennedy Recreation Center.
