Over 100 Trenton students and volunteers packed the equivalent of 10,000 meals at Trenton High School last week.

Students from the Interact Club, National Honors Society and Student Council collaborated with local Rotary Clubs in support of Kids Against Hunger.

Trenton and Woodhaven Rotary Club members and local volunteers assisted in packing the meals.

The entire operation took just over one hour to complete.

More than half of the meals will be put to use locally, at the Trenton Food Pantry and internationally. The remaining meals will be stored for use during national disasters.

Some of the meals that helped feed those suffering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Sandy were packed locally last year.
