Trenton Area Non-Profit Seeks Volunteer Dentists for Home-Bound Patients

An area non-profit is looking for dentists to volunteer their services for home-bound patients living in Trenton and Grosse Ile.

In-Home Dental Care, Inc., 1495 Fort St., in Wyandotte, provides older Americans, home-bound patients, and disabled Americans high quality and compassionate dental hygiene in the comfort of their homes, according to an In-Home Dental Care release.

Lynn Armatis, president and provider of In-Home Dental Care, said the non-profit is looking for dentists to volunteer their time and talents to "provide services to those less fortunate in our neighborhood."

Armatis provides mobile preventative dental hygiene services and oral cancer screenings to the adult disabled, elderly, uninsured and Medicaid individuals of Wayne County, according to the release.

In-Home Dental is also looking to hire dental hygienists for a paid position for similar purposes. Those interested in the part-time position can apply at Indeed.com.

"Our dental hygienists specialize in delivering needed preventative oral care to those who have trouble traveling to a dental office for routine treatment," Armatis said. "We are happy to serve private residences, independent senior centers, assisted living communities, nursing homes and rehabilitation centers."
