Spunky Australian Cattle Dog Looking For a New Home

Each week, we'll highlight animals available for adoption at Downriver-area shelters.

Juju Bean is an Australian Cattle Dog-Blue Heeler mix who has been in foster care with WAG Animal Rescue in Wyandotte for more than one and a half years. She is a special needs animal as she suffers from a seizure disorder, but that does not affect her quality of life, according to a blog post by WAG on Patch. Her current medications control her seizures fairly well and they are both less frequent and much less severe than they used to be.

Juju is 2 years old and weighs about 40 pounds, according to the blog post. She was found wandering as a stray, seriously underweight and not trusting of humans. It took her some time to adjust to her foster home, but now she willingly engages with her foster family, actually demanding attention and play time. She enjoys playing with her foster dog sisters, both inside and out, and she loves going for walks.

Juju Bean will be at the Livonia PetSmart on Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 3p.m.

Ann

Meet Ann, a cat with beautiful eyes and wonderful markings, who is available for adoption from the Shelter to Home Adoption Center in Wyandotte. Her foster mom would describe her as very loving and sweet. She loves when you scratch her! She also loves her sister Nancy and it would be great if she was adopted with her. If you want two cats that get along, Shelter to Home has them.

The Shelter to Home Pet Adoption Center is located at 266 Oak St. Adoptions are done by appointment only. The Pet Adoption Center is open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays for tours and visiting with some of our adoptable cats in a home-like setting.
