Patch Editor Says Farewell to Trenton and Grosse Ile
Local editor Nate Stemen leaves Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch.
After three years of covering two of the most interesting and caring communities Downriver, I have to say goodbye to Trenton and Grosse Ile.
I've met some wonderful and amazing people. From the hardworking volunteers at the Trenton Food Pantry to the dedicated historians at the Grosse Ile Historical Society, each new relationship has made me a better reporter, editor and person.
There has never been a shortage of news. From the ever-changing future of the former Riverside Hospital to the no contest plea to embezzlement by one of Trenton's own assistant principals, I have had my work cut out for me.
I'd like to thank the Trenton Police Department and all of the Trenton and Grosse Ile officials for their constant cooperation and professional manner.
I'd also like to thank the good people of Trenton and Grosse Ile for welcoming me into the communities and embracing Patch with open arms.
I hope that you show your new Patch editor the same kindness and acceptance you've shown me. Patch is currently looking for someone to fill my shoes, and I'm certain he or she will do great.
Please direct any further news tips, story ideas or general communications to trenton@patch.com.
It's been a pleasure being your editor. Farewell.
