Parenting Workshop Coming to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trenton

A workshop at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trenton is expected to focus in setting appropriate boundaries for children.

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Trenton is holding a parenting workshop form 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 13.

The workshop is expected to focus on how setting appropriate boundaries encourages children to make healthy decisions, according to a church release.

The workshop was set up as an effort to help parents instill the kind of character that will help them lead balanced, productive and fulfilled adult lives.

Brenda Heissenbuettel, a licensed kids talk therapist, will be on hand to help parents better understand the workshop.

The workshop is $10 per person and child care is available for an additional $5 per child.

“Being able to set healthy boundaries in life is a skill that is needed more and more in today’s society,” Don Busse, director of christian education at St. Paul, said in the same release. “By equipping parents to teach these skills to their children while they are still young, we are helping put kids on the path to lifelong success.”
