Oakwood Southshore Receives Press Ganey Award in Excellence

Oakwood Southshore’s Ambulatory Surgery and Surgery Center in Trenton recently received the Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award honoring hospitals in patient care and overall achievement. 

Press Ganey honors top organizations that excel in healthcare performance improvement, employee and physician engagement and hospital quality.

Oakwood Southshore is at 5450 Fort St.

Edith Hughes, division president of the medical center, said the award is a validation of the hard work their team puts in every day.

“We are very proud of and humbled by this recognition,” Hughes said in a statement. It’s a “reflection of the compassion we feel about the people who trust us with their care,” she said.  

The annual award recognizes hospitals that have maintained consistently high levels (95 percent) of excellence in patient satisfaction, employee engagement and clinical quality performance.
