Community service has several definitions. It can be anything from helping a neighbor put up his Christmas lights to organizing a blood drive.
Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch wants to recognize one Trenton resident for his or her community service with the Patch Community Service Person of the Year Award and a $100 gift card to a local business in Trenton.
Everyone deserves recognition once in a while. Why not nominate someone and let him or her know how much you appreciate his or her dedication to the community. No community effort is too small.
Nominate a friend, family member or neighbor by commenting on this article. Please include the person's name and a short description of why they deserve the award in 200 words or less. Nominees must be at least 13 years old.
We're accepting nominations now through Nov. 30. After the nomination period ends, we will allow readers a chance to vote for who they think should win. The nominee with the most votes by the end of the year will win the award.
