Michigan Native Bounced from 'The Bachelor': Update

A Michigan gal took her shot at Bachelor Sean Lowe's heart in the new season of the reality dating show airing Monday night.

UPDATE 10:38 P.M. Ashley Palenkas of Macomb Township did not make the cut on the first episode of the new season of "The Bachelor" on Monday night, according to WXYZ.

Ashley Palenkas is among 26 contestants vying for a chance of love with Dallas native Sean Lowe. Lowe was a finalist on last season's "The Bachelorette" before he was sent home by Emily Maynard.

Palenkas says she considers herself a romantic who wears her heart on her sleeve and lets emotions "rule over my head," her bio states.

The 28 year old is a hairdresser in Birmingham and a part-time bartender at Fifth Avenue in Royal Oak, according to The Macomb Daily.
