Does Fido or Fluffy need vaccinations? A low-cost vaccination clinic is coming up from 10 am. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, at 2306 4th Street in Wyandotte.

A licensed veterinarian from Pet Care Clinic will be available to the general public to vaccinate their pets, the city of Wyandotte has announced. Rabies, distemper, bordetella, and leptospirosis vaccines will be available at $12 per vaccine. Records of previous vaccination are only required for those who wish to obtain a three year rabies vaccine for $14.

Heartworm and feline leukemia/FIV testing will also be available.

No appointments are being set, and cash only will be accepted. Wyandotte residents will be able to license their dogs and cats on site after vaccination.

In addition, some local businesses will be on hand to offer pet-related services. Downriver Dog Obedience will assist pet owners with training and temperament questions about their pet. And Grace's Best Friends Grooming will charge $10 for a nail trimming and ear cleaning. Custom engraved pet tags will be available for purchase and can be created while owners wait.
