Looking For a Sweet Tabby Cat to Join Your Family?

Two Downriver animal shelters are looking for homes for several cats.

Meet Jade, Naomi and Lucrezia -- three tabby cats currently looking for homes in the Downriver area.

Jade

Jade is a gentle 6-year-old girl who was adopted from Shelter to Home animal shelter as a baby in 2007. She had a wonderful home and was loved very much but her owner passed away recently and she is looking for a new home, according to a blog post by Shelter to Home on Patch. Jade is sweet, quiet good with the litter box, likes to be brushed and petted, and likes to use her scratcher.

Naomi

Naomi is a beautiful Oriental tabby who spent more time than she deserved in a small cage waiting to be picked. Naomi is now doing well in foster care, according to a blog post by Shelter to Home on Patch, and is loving the attention she gets. She plays and runs with toys and is starting to play with the canines in foster care with her.

The Shelter to Home Pet Adoption Center is located at 266 Oak St. in Wyandotte. Adoptions are done by appointment only. The Pet Adoption Center is open from noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays for tours and visiting with some of our adoptable cats in a home-like setting.

Lucrezia

Lucrezia came into the Wyandotte Animal Shelter with her brother Ronin.  He was ill and passed away, and she is very lonely after losing her brother. She is really a beautiful brown tabby with fabulous markings and she could not be a sweeter cat, but is still waiting for her special person to realize that she is the perfect fit for them. She is spayed, up to date on shots, rabies, feline aids and leukemia negative and litter-box trained, according to a blog post by the Wyandotte Animal Shelter on Patch.

The Wyandotte Animal Shelter is located at 170 Grove St. in Wyandotte. It is open from 5:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
