Trenton Holiday Trash Schedule, Christmas Tree Disposal

Christmas trees are not considered regular trash pick up in Trenton. Find out when you need to get the tree out to the curb.

Soon, the gifts will all be unwrapped and the tree will be as bare as the day you brought it home (or opened the box). Christmas will soon be over and now you'll have more trash than any other day of the year.

Here's the holiday trash schedule and Christmas tree disposal plan for Trenton:

  • Trash will not be collected on Christmas Day or New Year's Day. Rubbish will be collected one day later than normal and into Saturday, according to the City of Trenton website.
  • Residents are permitted to use yard waste and rubbish containers to dispose of additional rubbish until Jan. 5.
  • Christmas trees will be picked up on Thursdays during regular brush collection beginning Dec. 27. There is no charge for this service.
