Dog Takes Rat for a Ride in Trenton
The Trenton Baseball Association's opening day attendees stared in awe as a black Labrador retriever named Pete did something dogs don't normally do.
The Trenton Baseball Association's opening day of baseball season Friday night bought several interesting moments:
- The former Slocum-Truax ball field was dedicated and renamed to Clarence "Bud" Ennis Field in honor of the longtime Trenton resident and recreation commissioner.
- The first game of the season saw inclement weather.
- The event drew an unlikely pair.
Players, coaches and city officials stopped to see Pete parade around outside the ball field with his long-tailed friend in tow.
"Isn't that something," Trenton Mayor Kyle Stack said as Pete wandered past.
Stack can be heard in the background of the video commenting on the two furry friends.
