What's Going on at the Former McLouth Steel in Trenton?

A Trenton-Grosse Ile Patch reader contacted editor Nate Stemen about a possible "concert" taking place at the former McLouth Steel building.

We received a tip from a reader Thursday about some type of "concert" taking place at the former McLouth Steel.

Here's what we know, so far:

The interior of the main building at the former McLouth Steel is being used for a television production for ESPN's Saturday Night Football, according to Trenton City Administrator Jim Wagner.

The reader said he was driving to work at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and "noticed in the south end of the old McLouth Steel building there were concert lights on inside."

Wagner said Havana Productions of Tampa, FL was filming a promotional commercial for ESPN.

We aren't sure why the lights inside the building appeared to be concert lights, but we have placed a call out to Havana Avenue in Tampa, FL to find out more information.

A representative of Havana Avenue said the production company was not working on a production in Michigan Thursday night.
