Last Chance to Swim at the Trenton Aquatic Center

Here's a list of five things to know about the Trenton Aquatic Center.

The Trenton Aquatic Center is a summertime destination for people from all over Downriver looking to cool off.

The forecast this week might just provide residents a few more chances to take a dip before the pool closes until next year. The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures at or above 75 degrees on Tuesday and Friday.

Here's a list of five things to know about the Trenton Aquatic Center:

  1. The final day to swim during the regular season is Sunday, Aug. 18.
  2. Special events and holidays provide a few more chances to swim from noon to 7 p.m. Aug. 24, 25, 31 and Sept. 1 and from noon to 5 p.m. Sept. 2.
  3. Dog Days of Summer is set for 11 a.m. Sept. 7 after the pool closes for the season.
  4. Open swims are $5 for residents and $7 for non-residents.
  5. Swimming hours may be changed, shortened or cancelled due to participation, weather conditions and special events.
