Family Literacy Night
Family Potluck/Literacy Night is designed to promote literacy for all family members. Anyone in the community is welcome to attend. We will have resources for parents, along with read-alouds for all ages of children and adults, with emphasis on the middle school years. Bring your entire family, your middle school students and their friends, or just come alone. All students must bring an adult with them. We will have "celebrity" readers to interest all ages of children.
Grandparents and parents, if you need book selection information for your children, we will have recommendations for all ages, along with parenting tips. There is no cost for this event. Bring a dish to pass for 6-8 people. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up, or for more information. You can also sign up by calling Arthurs Middle School at 734.676.8700
More About Boyd W. Arthurs Middle School
The staff at the middle school has implemented a very creative schedule that allows for 53 new classes for students to take without costing the district any additional money. Students now have more physical education or band time, depending on their choices.
The school has a strong focus on athletics for all four seasons. All students that try out for the football, track and swimming teams, to name a few, will be selected to play. The culture at the middle school is one where students can grow, and the staff is well trained in the issues facing middle school students on a daily basis.
